Beyond arts

I founded Beyond Arts in 2020 to amplify the voices of young people who have experienced cancer. We believe in the importance of empowering young people to find their own language to communicate their experiences and respond to the challenges a cancer diagnosis brings.

Beyond Arts generate art works for public audiences, reflecting the stories of young people with cancer experiences, while supporting healthcare providers and charities to develop better support for young people post cancer treatment and facilitate ownership for participants of their own cancer narrative. AfterThoughts

AfterThoughts is a storytelling podcast that looks at life beyond a cancer diagnosis when you’re under the age of 30. This is a podcast that tells the rich and diverse stories of those young people.

The Origin Of Carmen Power

A digital adventure for 7-13 years old exploring Carmen’s experience of having a brain tumour at the age of 7 and the Superhero who came out of that experience

The Hurricane

Made exclusively for the AYA Global Congress, which brought together healthcare professionals from Teenage Cancer Trust, TeenCan and Canteen AUS digitally, The Hurricane is a short film exploring the world of remission, highlighting the diverse experiences and the invisible impacts of life beyond a diagnosis.

Looking Forward

A unique participatory pilot project, Looking Forward involved working with nine young adults who have experienced cancer, allowing them to explore their own experiences of life beyond a diagnosis and offering a creative toolkit to find a language for the company’s experiences.

Post Patient Post Office

A digital peer to peer storytelling experience that sparks adventures and creativity for young people in isolation in hospitals in the South East.

An Opportunity

An Opportunity is a short video in response to the language of the ‘New Normal’ that has appeared as we look at life beyond Covid-19, and the similarities to that beyond a cancer diagnosis.
